Kings Own Scottish Borderers
The Kings Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB), a Scottish infantry regiment, served with distinction during the First World War. They were heavily engaged on the Western Front, particularly in the Battle of the Somme in 1916, where the 1st Battalion fought at Delville Wood. The KOSB also participated in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915 and the Battle of Arras in 1917. Renowned for their disciplined assaults and strong regimental pride, the KOSB earned a reputation for bravery under fire.
